Croydon laboratory first in the world to deploy Werfen ACL TOP 570 analyser
The South West London Pathology (SWLP) laboratory at Croydon Hospital will be the first in the world to use an analyser from the Werfen ACL TOP 700 series. The ACL TOP 570 has anew and improved design and can run more tests every hour.
HLAB27 and HFE gene tests brought in-house
Testing for HLA-B27 and HFE genes are now being carried out within Microbiology at SWLP, rather than being sent to a reference laboratory. By bringing the tests in house, the turnaround time for results has shortened and it has reduced costs related to the tests.
